Join us for our monthly courtwatch at Northampton District Court, 8:30am-10:30am on Monday December 16th!
Courtwatch involves attending district court as an observer. It helps us build our knowledge about how the legal system operates, and our comfort in legal environments so that we can be strong advocates and movement members. Courtwatch is also a way to visibly show up and support our loved ones and comrades who are being subjected to legal processes, and let them know they are not alone.
If it is your first time attending Courtwatch, please arrive at 8:30am at 111 Gothic Street (the park in front of Urban Outfitters) for a 30 minute orientation before we head into court together. If you have already attended the orientation at a previous courtwatch, you are welcome to meet us at the court itself (15 Gothic Street) at 9am.
Please wear a purple shirt or top to show that you are part of the courtwatch group. Also please keep in mind the rules for court, which prohibits wearing shorts, tube tops, hats, and flip flops.
