80 Acres: A Living Experiment in Black Liberation

The Decarcerate Western Mass Bailout Project is excited to be partnering with 80 Acres. Learn more about their work here and on their website.

WHO ARE ARE:

80 Acres is a non-profit organization that operates both a school and a law firm committed to Black Liberation and Climate Justice.

Created in response to the pervasive inequities Black people in America experience, 80 Acres operates a law office, a mutual aid center, and a school located in Western Massachusetts. 80 Acres is a living experiment in Black liberation. We’re planning for a Black future by preparing the children, and leveraging the law to protect the people, the land, and the climate.

LAW SERVICES:

We offer a variety of legal services. Email legal@80acres.org and/or ellisha@80acres.org for more information.

CLIMATE JUSTICE COOPERATIVE SCHOOL:

80 Acres operates a small climate justice co-op school for children in grades K-2 focused on interdependence and land liberation. We learn, we farm, we grow, we take care of each other, and we lead with love. If parents and caretakers are interested in learning about the school, please email admission@80acres.org.

MUTUAL AID CENTER:

80 Acres has a mutual aid center where we provide resources including Free Mental Health Services, Connection to Resources, Free Store Items, and more. Email mutualaid@80acres.org for more information, and fill out this form to let us know what you need.
